How to back up to Google Drive?

You can back up your chats and media to Google Drive, so if you switch Android phones or get a new one, your chats and media are safe. To use Google Drive, make sure the following is true:

1. Your device must be synced with Google Drive.
2. Google Play Services must be installed (only available for Android 2.3.4 and later).
3. Your Google Drive account must have enough space for all of your WhatsApp data.

• Tap on Back up to Google Drive and set up the backup frequency to your liking, or tap Back Up to do an immediate backup.
• You will be prompted to select a Google account that you will back up your chat history to. If you do not have a Google account, tap Add account when prompted. Please remember the Google account you are using for the backup.
• Tap on Back up over to choose the network you wish to use for backup. Please note that backing up over cellular may result in additional data charges.                                           

About Google Drive

1. The first complete backup may take a while. Please leave your phone connected to a power source.
2. You can change your chat backup frequency, the account you back up to and which connection to use for backup at any time in Menu Button > Settings > Chats and calls > Chat backup.
3. Every time you run a Google Drive backup on a Google account, the previous Google Drive backup will be overwritten. There is no way to restore an older Google Drive backup.

LG G5 Features

           It's not long since we welcomed the LG G4, but the LG G5 was announced by the company on 21 February. It's the company's first modular-design smartphone, which can be transformed into a digital camera or Hi-Fi player. It features a sleek aluminium uni body with a slide-out battery.

           In common with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge the LG G5 has an always-on screen (here 5.3in), which makes it easier to check the time or notifications at a glance. Another innovative feature is the two cameras on the rear - one with an extra-wide 135-degree lens.

     Key specs include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage (with MicroSD up to 200GB), a 2800mAh removable battery and Android Marshmallow. The G5 comes in Silver, Titan, Gold or Pink, and will be available to pre-order in March for an April release.

The LG G5 will go on sale on 8 April 2016.

HTC 10

       Now that we know the phone unveiled by HTC in October was an HTC One A9, we're still expecting to see the HTC 10 (HTC One M10) in April 2016.

       HTC One launches are traditionally held just prior to March's Mobile World Congress show, and HTC chairwoman Cher Wang has said there would be significant improvements in innovations and design for the next flagship model next year. However, we're expecting to see the HTC One M10 shortly after MWC, with a separate launch event held in April 2016.

         A key area in which HTC now lags behind its rivals is the screen, with the M9 featuring a full- rather than Quad HD display. We'd expect to see some key improvements here, as well as some general performance enhancements.
